A private equity seller chose our process for its exit

Selling the category-defining Shopify demand-capture app across three continents

01The deal

Back in Stock is the leading Shopify demand-capture app: over its life it generated more than $1.6B in recovered revenue for the 25,000 merchants it served.

The seller was SureSwift Capital, a Canadian software private equity firm; professional sellers have their pick of processes, and they mandated ours. The buyer, AMP, is a Singapore-incorporated e-commerce growth platform with Australian roots focused on AI-powered solutions.

Canada to Singapore, with an Australian-rooted buyer: a three-continent transaction that closed because the process was built to search globally from the start.

02Why it worked

A professional seller’s mandate

A software PE firm chose Array to run its exit. Institutional sellers benchmark advisors; that is the point.

Truly global buyer search

The winning buyer was incorporated in Singapore with Australian roots. Inbox-only processes rarely find this outcome.

Category leadership, priced

The $1.6B recovered-revenue receipt gave buyers a value story no feature list matches.
